Madeline Veenker Cayton

Voice

Madeline Veenker recently earned a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville where she received a comprehensive education in both performance and pedagogy. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Bethel University - St. Paul, MN. Since 2009, she has maintained a small private voice and piano studio, truly developing her passion for studio voice teaching as a Vocal Pedagogy Apprentice at the University of Tennessee. As a studio teacher her priority is to build and develop a healthy singing technique that serves as the foundation to any style of singing, whether pop/rock, classical, musical theatre or jazz. Once this foundation is in place, she works with students to apply their technique towards whatever style(s) of singing they are excited about!   Maintaining a studio of elementary through college age students, she also offers a special emphasis on musical theatre singing as appropriate for specific age groups. Recent performances include the roles of Josephine Vandewater in Lady, Be Good!, Despina in Cosi fan tutte, and Lucia in The Rape of Lucretia.
